Over time, the color of quality WPC products becomes slightly lighter. This is a natural process and it does not affect the quality
of the product. Color lightening is usually associated with the release of harmless polyethylene wax on the surface, which is added
to the composite as a lubricant. Wax improves the properties of the surface to repel water. To verify this, try rubbing the brightened
deck with a rough cloth or fingernail. Тhe wax will be easily erased and the color will be the same when laying the decking.
Wax will be erased during operation, the color of the decking will not change further. The burnout of low-quality WPC products,
as a rule, is the destruction of an unprotected polymer from the composite composition from UV irradiation. If a UV absorber,
antioxidants and a light stabilizer are not added to the composite, the polymer will eventually turn into dust and the decking will
collapse. It can also happen if less polymer is added to the composite than necessary. The manufacturer works according to the technology without the granulation stage in the production chain. As a rule, such products have a minimum price on the market. Signs of polymer degradation after some time are a rough, rough surface, “weathering”, cracks in the decking, reduced strength. This occurs with
decking due to the layer-by-layer destruction of the polymer in the composite under the influence of UV in the direction from
the surface inwards. The polymer turns to dust and is blown away by the wind. The board becomes rough.
